June 2011

Our library had a wild animal day and Daisy got to pet an alligator.

My ma and pa came out to visit for Holly's baby blessing.

Sean and Dad caught a Giants game. An extra inning classic. Extra garlic fries and all.

My lil' bro Seth and his girlfriend, Krista, drove out from Utah to visit. He proposed to her while they were here...squeal! He popped the question on Carmel beach, Sooo fun! Can't believe my little brother is engaged!

All of us at Islands.

June also entailed:
Gilroy Gardens,

Sean's 35th!!

Cute Hollyiness,

Campout in the yard,

Catching frogs at the wetland preserve,

and finding sunshine at the Aquatic Center in Morgan Hill.

May 2011

May had some beautiful, warm days and so Holly had some of her first beach days.
Soakin' in the Vitamin D.

I can't leave this one alone for a second.

Holly Raye

She wasn't so happy about my attempt at a photo shoot.

Mike and Randa (Poppas and Panda) come to visit.
We met them in Gilroy, swam a little, ate dinner and then left Lily and Daisy for the night.

The next day Poppas and Panda bravely took them to a little amusement park called Gilroy Gardens. The girls were in heaven. It was so strange being without them for that long.
They met us back at home where we enjoyed a walk in the magic carpet flowers,

Touring the Carmel Mission,

and a Picnic at Stillwater Cove.

Mike and Randa babysat for us AND gifted us our anniversary dinner on May 9th.

9 years of bliss celebrated at the Chart House. Followed by
hot chocolate at Ghiradelli's.

Poppas and Panda amazingly had everything under control when we got home.
 We miss you guys!

Later that week our local library celebrated its 109th birthday so they had activities going on all day long. The girls got to get their faces painted and Lily chose a skull of all things??? I tried and tried to convince her otherwise. She was so proud of this.

At Holly's 2 month doctor appointment her pediatrician tenderly dubbed her a "tub-o-butter". I don't know what he is talking about. :)
At the end of the month a few of my cousins came out to visit. They weathered a misty bonfire on the beach with us.
Summer with her cute kiddos Haven and Hudson.
 McKenzie and Mikey with Sean
Summer, me, and Kenzie. Ahh, cousins.

April 2011

Lily turned 6 on April 18th and she wanted a Littlest Pet Shop Party. Soooo, we tried to deliver. Here are Sean and Lily sucking helium and getting ready for the party.

The guests arrived and "adopted" a little pet shop pet at the Adoption Center to take home with them. They decorated a home with markers and stickers, and filled out an adoption certificate naming their new pet.

Here is the treat table. I tried to make the snacks to look like or relate to pet food: sunflower seeds, Reeses cereal, goldfish crackers, animal cookies, gummy bears etc. I even put some in pet food bowls.

The first game was Cat-tail chase. The kids had yarn tied to their waist with 5 little balloons dangling behind.  Then they ran around trying to pop each others tails.

The next game was Tidy Cat. I hid tootsie rolls in a container of sand (kitty litter) and the kids had a relay who could scoop the most. Gross, I know.

Then of course a parrot pinata, complete with gummy worms and egg candies inside.

Here are all the party goers. I think they had a good time.

Lily wanted to paint animal faces on the kids but we didn't have time, so Sean and the girls had a little after party fun with it.

Holly endured the whole shebang like a champ.

Here is cute Daisy being, well, Daisy.

April also entailed the "Good 'ol Days" in our little town. Lily and her school mates got to be in the parade. This is her buddy Chloe. Daisy got to be a part of it too and really worked the crowd with her fairy wings and waving.

The festivities after the parade included rides, LARGE lemonades, balloons, cookies, brownies, and crafts.

Easter 2011
The Easter bunny left a trail of foot prints and carrots to their goodies.

A baby pillow pet was the main prize. How did the Easter bunny know they matched their big pillow pets? He/She is so smart!

Mmmm, Peeps at 8am!

Holly in her Easter dress.

After church.

My 3 girlies!
That afternoon we went to the D'Penha's for Easter lunch/dinner. I have never seen so many plastic filled eggs in my life (This is just the first minute of Daisy's findings). The kids made out like bandits.

Just a cute pic of the girls wearing hats custom made by Lily.

Lily can't get enough snuggles from Holly.
