Choo! Choo!

 September 12, 2009

These pics are way over due! We went to Roaring Camp with our friends the D'Penhas to ride the steam train through the redwoods.

While waiting for the train there was an old fashioned "town" you could explore.

Daisy was a little scared on the train at first (especially the loud whistle) but soon got the hang of it. I love this shot of Lily soaking it all in. (Thanks for the next two pics Linz).

We weaved through the Redwood forest and saw some amazing HUGE trees,

old railroad bridges,

and stunning glimpses of light.

We got off the train for a few minutes and ate a picnic that Karey and Linz brought. Then we headed back to camp. Next time we are going to stay at the top of the mountain and wait for the next train down.

Good times with good friends!

29 and Feeling Fine...

...Except for the strange cracks that come from my knee when I walk, and the faint smile lines penetrating my face, and...well you get the hint. As of September 1, I am now officially on my way to 30! So strange! I am totally ok with it, I just wonder how that flew by so fast!

On the actual day some girlfriends took me out to breakfast at First Awakenings (Mmmm, wheatberry pancakes), then Sean had a little get together for me that weekend. Here is Sally and Daisy hangin' on the patio.

Sean made me a cake for the first time since we have been married and I loved it! (I boycott making my own this year.) He also printed out the first year of our blog for me! Needless to say, he did good...

...besides the shoving cake in my face part.
I thought he was going to give me a bite. Check out that mischievous look! I honestly was not surprised.

Just wait til your birthday babe!

Chickety Chicks

I threw a baby shower for my friend Lisa and have posted the details on Enchantresses 3. It was a fluffy chick theme if you wanna check it out click here.

A Little Bit of August

Gourmet S'mores and Catch Phrase bonfire at Seal Rock.
Some of the gourmet options.....sooooo scrumptious!
Someone didn't want to get dressed one morning, so mid get away from Sean the door got the best of her.
Dress up is high priority almost every day. Lil with her buddy Bella.
We have had AMAZING no fog weather lately! We spent one Saturday at Asilomar Beach with our friends the Dean family. The boys attempted some skim-boarding.
Some of my young women from church were there and Lily thought she was so cool laying out with them.
April and I soakin' in the rare warm rays.
The cute Dean kids, Cooper, Ellie, and James. Why can't my kids pose like that for the camera? They all had hours of fun simply pulling the boogie boards around. Except for wanderin' Daisy who followed every single dog that passed by down the beach. She LOVES dogs! I missed those photo-ops.

Here were the few times she stood still.

Good times in August!
