Whether riding the lawn mower to each others house, throwing black cat fireworks at cars, or dancing to "Don't Worry, Be Happy" on the trampoline, my Best Friend Forever Nikki has been a constant in my life since the 2nd grade. In fact it is her house where my love of Dr. Pepper and sports took root! You can understand how excited I was to have her come visit from New Mexico...
However, there was an alterior motive (I don't think she will mind me saying so), she also came to see Sam in San Jose who we also grew up with. Cool thing about it, he was actually her first kiss in the I won't say grade! I was there! How cool is that to be reconnected?! It was so much fun to see Sam a.k.a Sammy again too. I hadn't seen him since good 'ol CHS. (A whole 10 years, dang has it been that long?) I am a little upset with myself because I kept forgetting my camera everywhere we went. I did catch a few of the sunset at Asilomar Beach. We had a blast playing the Wii, seeing the aquarium, and touring Carmel..JPG)

Lily took this next picture of Nikki and Sam. She kept calling them Tom and Mary because she currently watches an old Disney movie over and over called Babes in Toyland (a classic I used to watch as a kid) and the main characters are Tom and Mary. 
Alright Nik, now you have an excuse to come and see us more often. Next time we are hitting IKEA!

How fun to get to visit with Nikki! Where does Sam live in Cali? Are they getting "SERIOUS"? :) Love that girl!

I love catching up on your blog! You have the cutest little family. What a fun New Year's and Christmas it looks like you had. I can't believe how much darker your hair is and stuff next to your siblings! You look just like my Pilates instructor! You girl always make me miss Monterey with your fun posts. The Christmas parties in that ward are incomparable with any other. How fun!
Okay so cool that you had a visit from her! Love the pic. of Lily and those cute glasses. I think I will need to rent Babes in toy land, think my kids will like it, their into musicals right now, like Snow White.
I agree with Sarah, that pic of Lily in the huge sunglasses....priceless! Glad that you were able to get together while she was here! I secretly hope for you Brenna that they do get married, and they stay in San Jose, so you can see you BFF way more often!
Lily is too cute! And what fun to reconnect! You have to cherish those friendships...there aren't many that last that long!
