WICKED Freaking Cool!

My friend Nikki is to thank for getting us to finally go see the musical Wicked (this was her 7th time seeing it). She flew out from New Mexico with her friend Mary and met up with her boyfriend Sam in San Jose. Sean and I met up with all of them in San Francisco Wednesday night at the Orpheum Theatre.
This was the stage. We weren't supposed to take pictures inside so this is the only one I got. In fact Sam took it for me because I didn't want to get caught. :) Notice the massive dragon up top, it lit up and moved. The set was remarkable this just doesn't capture it.
My camera causes the WORST unfixable red eye ever so excuse my freaky eyes in most of these shots. I am pointing to Patty Duke's name. She played Madame Morrible. Does anyone remember the Patty Duke show? "Their cousins, identical cousins...they laugh alike, they talk alike, at times they even walk alike, what a crazy pair"... I digress. Say hello to the cute little usher trying to get in our picture.

Mary, myself, and Nikki after the show. For those of you who have seen Wicked, "Defying Gravity", and "As Long As Your Mine" gave me chills and of course "Popular" was so cute and funny! The cast was amazingly talented!

Sam and Sean...so excited we dragged them along. They really DID like it. I can now convince Sean to take me to more of these. I would see a different musical every weekend if I could!

This is Vicki Noon with Sean and Sam, she played Elphaba (the Wicked Witch) and was incredible! She was so sweet too, signing autographs and taking pictures with everyone. I couldn't believe she got all the green make-up off that fast!
What a magical night away from the kiddos. Thanks Sarah L. for watching our children from 5pm to 2am! You are a rock star and I owe you big time! We will be making up sleep all week but it was worth it!

I am so excited that you got to see this! We went last May and I still haven't gotten over how fantastic it was! I too have a picture of the stage and that is all, b/c I got caught! :) Does this run in the family?

You are right the music gives you chills and I even started crying during Elphaba's first solo at the beginning. (The Wizard & I).

Way to go Nikki getting Brenna and Sean there. I love that you guys also dressed up, you look great!

I have always wanted to see Wicked. I hear such amazing things about it and I love the music. It is coming to SLC but tickets were $450/each. Needless to say, it was a little out of our price range.

I'm jealous! I would love to go see it--or anything like it for that matter. Albert needs to take me...that could take some serious convincing! Maybe I could trade him that for watching some soccer game.

I cried at that musical. I went last Thanksgiving (well, last, last...) and loved it too. How fun that you went. Um, you may be devilish eyes, but you are way skinny and darling. What's your secret? Oh YA.... swim suit motivation... I don't necessarily have that here in land locked, snow covered, UTAH!
